btw any one know what 2.0L engine is in the usa golfs ? the inlet manifold and head looks different...

The 2.0L engine used in the US Mk3s is coded the ABA and is an 8v engine. The intake manifold looks different than most others and is generally called a "cross-flow" head due to the direction of the incoming air coming across the top of the engine from the back and then into the motor from the front.

The 2.0L engine used in the US Mk3s is coded the ABA and is an 8v engine. The intake manifold looks different than most others and is generally called a "cross-flow" head due to the direction of the incoming air coming across the top of the engine from the back and then into the motor from the front.

having the inlet on the front side (not near bulkhead)  of the engine would give move space for a super charger ;) ...............
