speed limit wiper!!!!!

i was driving down the motorway earlier in rain but not that heavy, was doing about 80mph and my drivers side wiper blade wouldnt clear the rain til i slowed down a bit.

anyone found this before, im stumped!!!

If the wipers are going slow, you will find the wiper arms are seized. You will want to get this sorted asap because it will f*** the motor up.

I might have read this wrong but was the wiper working fine but just not clearing the water away?

This could be due to the wipers lifting off the screen at high speed from the force of the air
Maybe get some aero wipers like you see on mk5's and so on

are the wiper blades clean and in good condition?

I agree - It sounds like it was lifting. Get some Bosch ones from halfords - they come with a spoiler:

Ah just looked at mine and it has a spoiler on the drivers wiper!, its been on the car since i got it as ive not needed to change the wipers yet. Ive never had and trouble with mine lifting so this could well be your problem

I have been on my private road at high speeds and used my wipers with no problems.

thanks 4 all your help guys, do the aero wipers from the mk5 fit without any mods? if they ill go 4 the bosch ones me thinks

Be careful though, even the Bosch one's still used to lift when I went over 190mph.
