I had a fiesta ST before the golf and that was ran in hard and it was alot quicker than other ST's. I just make sure its properly heated before it gets the beans. Wel am up in Aberdeenshire so i wont be travellin that far. Ive heard good reports about starperformance in fyfe, scotland but my mate has a new leon cupra with a full milltek, 3" downpipe and a corbonio intake and hes always went for starperformance but hes thinking along the lines of the revo now.
If anyone does have a revo did you go for the select or the select plus?

Some good info on this site. If you are serious about modifying, then you need to uprate the exhaust and filter first and foremost. One of the lads I know locally has a MK5 GTi with Turbo Back Milltek (2.75" MSAU287 Downpipe which is designed for the K03s MK5 GTi), a panel filter and a stage 2 Revo from Checkpoint. It really flies. You can buy the select and select plus boxes after the remap as well. The select plus is currently under re-design, but allows the adjustment of boost, fuel and timing. Revo factory settings are 6 for boost, 6 for timing and 9 for fuel and assumes you are using quality fuel like Shell V-Power.
Personally, I would not bother uprating the dump valve (or dv as the odd few like it to be called) unless you want the noise. If you do, the Forge FSI T valve with an atmospheric adaptor will do this for you. Forge will have you believe that the standard valve is gash, but I know a few lads with standard and uprated MK2 Leon Cupra's and MK5 GTi's that are running on the standard valve and are having no problems. Having said that you do sometimes see problems on the odd car on the forums with power loss due to a failed valve. This could be swapped under warranty (cost is £23 I think).
The other thing that would be cost effective would be adding the S3 intercooler which has a 1.5cm thicker core and reportedly gives 40-60% better cooling which stops heatsoak and the result of the engine pulling things back and effectively reducing power. These cost approx £200 including VAT and hoses from the likes of Hawco in Peterhead so therefore are much cheaper than the likes of APR, Forge and Oettinger.
