Theres loads of posts on that question already. The consensus of opinion is 10-40 semi synth, preferably synta silver. If you want a thicker oil, which I might try next time round, go for 10-50 semi synth.

ECP do genuine filters for only a few quid.

picking up a set of clocks tomorrow to see if its the pressure plate on the back of the clocks. hope this solves it if not i will be fitting a pressure gauge even if i have chacked the pressure and all was fine.
