Hi Guys
I'm new here and am desperate for some help! Im from South Africa. I have a mk1, 2 door shell which i want to fully restore. Most of the parts are available here in SA, but it's almost impossible to get a good/new set of chrome bumpers and the GTI badge and grille for the mk1. I've been trying for months here and the only way to get your hands on these bumpers is to go to a scrapeyard and rip it off a mk1, which would be rusted to the bone. I have heard that these chrome bumpers and badges are available in the UK and can be bought new. Is this true and what would the costs be? I might come over during the year for a holiday and I could then purchase it and have it shipped back to SA.
Your guys help would mean the world to me. Also, seeing that we still produce the mk1 over here and I could do the same for you guys if you needed any parts!
