does a mk3 8v have a restrictive air intake?? if so how do i remove it? :smiley:

so the question is do i drill the bottom aswell or just the wing side?? will it suck hot air if i drill the bottom?

Just drill wingside for noise and run a cold air feed to either the back of the box or remove the trumpet in the front of the box and run the feed to this.

You mean the air box? or whole air system?

mikester i think hes referring to the trumpet section within the airbox, which yeah is restrictive,

I cut out all the fins inside the box and removed the trumpet too  mate... have a look through the guide thats been posted up here

I finally did it this morning after alot of hesitation and im impressed, i only put about 6 20mm holes the wing side only and now when i put the pedal down it growls, i wouldnt say theres any noticable difference in performance tho, worth it for the sound :cool:

Drill away the bottom a bit for noise, fit a cold air feed from the bottom splitter up past the alternator, bobs your uncle.
