I think they do. Widetrack is a lot easier if you just whip everything off the front end completely though. Much easier all round.

I think you will find the ball joint mounting holes are wider. It is possible to modify the wishbones, I would weld on extra steel over the top and redrill.

cheers guys for the reply.

only probs is i've bought the mk3 subframe, drive shafts & wishbones of a mk3 16v but stupidly not the hubs

so unless i do some welding/make the holes bigger I can't make the ball joint line up correctly........

could i swap the mk2 ball joint for a mk3 ball joint would that fit in the mk2 hub.....?

MK2 balljoints wont fit straight in MK3 bones, but they will go in with slight modification to the holes, IIRC its the middle one that has to be made a wee bit longer.

Only issue with MK3 bones is the MK2 anti roll bar wont fit the MK3 bones, but it WILL fit on Passat bones :)

Also, you need longer driveshafts & MK3/Passat track rods, and I dont think MK3 driveshafts fit MK2 hubs either!

jonny do you know if the passat and mk3 widen the track the same amount? im pretty sure the passat stuff is 16mm extra per side. just wondering as i need some pas arms and if i can use mk3 ones as well it will make getting some easier
