These arent cheep and you'll need a transformer to use it over here but they seem to be held as one of the best for your money !

Got to agree with you there, they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Someone bought me a low rent polisher that you plug in the cig lighter and it wouldnt polish a turd  :undecided:

Do not use an angle grinder.

The porter cable costs more as it has random orbit action. An angle grinder only rotates at the one point,  and so you can very quickly burn through your paint when you use one of these to polish

this is what everyone has been waiting for in the uk -  the meguiars 220v DA polisher - it arrived on the 12th Dec

ordering mine tomorrow!!!

don't waste your money on those cheap sh1t things from hafrauds.... the only have a circular action and they are very good at spreading polish about but that is about it!  also the buffer pads that you get for them will probably inflict paint swirls.

you would need to order pads and polishes too...

the polish will depend on the quality of your existing paintwork and what you want to achieve... but something like this will help you eliminate swirl

so if you don't want to avoid costly mistakes then save up and get something that will actually work... if you are in any doubt then consult a professional!

Guy, if it arrives in time, bring your new toy and pads along on the 28th. Will be interesting to see how it compares to a Porter Cable.
