word up, now i am guessing that a sensor must have gone....maybe in the headder tank?

just want anyinput if anyone has had this before,

start car fine and then after about thirty seconds the stop starts comming up on the dash

At a guess there will be a sensor in the expansion bottle that reads the coolant level. It's probably that although not sure how you would test it!

That wasn't much help was it?

sensor is located in the cap i believe although a mate of mine had the whole header tank replaced.

hmmm i'm not much help either really  :undecided:

I had this problem, so I changed the header myself.  The part (the whole tank, as you can't get the sensor on its own  (I think)) was under £10, IIRC, & took about 15 mins to swap - Did it in my lunchbreak one day.  The problem came back afterwards as well, but this was because I had too much coolant in.  Check your level is RIGHT ON that 'ridge' that goes around the middle of the tank.  :smiley:

mine does it occasionally, especially in the colder weather... i could cure it by replacing the header tank but i just ignore it and it eventually goes away, bit like an annoying ex.
