mine cost me 750 about 7 month ago, and didnt look all that great tbh, but i could see beyond the dirt etc as it has almost full history, low owners and low miles, i bought it for its engine etc not the bodywork as its a runner, but once i worked my magic its come out great, etter than what i expected and alot better than cars that would have cost twice what i payed, i belive i could sell it for more than i payed. i get some great compliments on it too.
Think its much harder to sell modified cars...and for some reason i prefere mk3's to lok fairly standard, theirs a few chavvy mods iv seen for them now, wont say as people are easily offended...
and the mk 4 is still classed as a current model and is much more sought after, hence the prices, and it dont matter if its a 1.8t or just a 2.0, they will all be worth alot more than mk3's
i saw a cheep mk4 1.8t round leeds the other week tho, was a early example up for 2400k cant remember the miles on it but it was over 100k...
