Rev limiter?
« on: 07 November 2007, 10:13 »
Do MKII 8v's have one (Digifant) and if so how does it work?

I've changed my clocks for 16v ones so the red line is higher and I was just wondering if this effects things.

only thing you gotta look at is on the speedo, the gearing number is the same (below the MPH in middle)

unless you swapped over/in your speedo to the 16v clocks..

dont know aobut the lim tho.. i know on the small early engines it was on the rotor or soemthing

Yeah I've already swapped the clocks over and the gearing is the same. Just the rev counter is different.

I made a hybrid of the two.
16V 160mph speedo, and 8V rev counter.
It was quite easy to do if i remember right !!
Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Yeah they do have limiters, although it will be the ecu that controls it and not the clocks.
