dead easy, did mine when i bought the car,

take off the heater control panel cover,

remove the 4 screws and remove the heater control unit

take ashtray out

think theirs a few more screws which u remove and then u can get to a little holder which houses the bulb, i think its a main dealer only bulb, cost me around 2.50 to 3 quid

it lights up the cig lighter and ashtray too

its dead easy to do and self explanitory once u start to remove all the screws

Cheers for that.. I look the ashtray out today and there was 2 screws under it, undone them but because of the heater controls couldnt get the panel out, the heater control is that a cover that pulls of and reveals the four screws ??

I already have a light that lights up the ashtray above it.. don't know if its different on the later cars !!

yes the panel that has the writing on it for the heater controls and surrounds the knobs clips off, under that their is 4 screws, one in each corner

1 bulb lights hte ashtray and cig lighter, their is a plastic optic that transports the beam of light, its the same dash on all of them so i guess it should be the same on them all

It is a b!tch of a mare to get the dial surround off because you feel like you're going to break it, but it does come off

i find it very very simple, just use a very thin bladed screwdriver and lift it in each corner..just pops off

Managed to get to it and it is blown, now since taking the heater control surround facia off to get to the four screws the heater control surrounds now isn't lighting up !!

Anyone know where the bulb is located that lights up the heater control surround facia ??

Is it normal for the left knob surround(1-2-3-4) to be duller than the other 2 ??
