some twit decided to try to break into my car today and broke the handle!!!! luckly they didnt damage the door too much but didnt get in.

So i go to GSF and as for a new handle, and they go "is that a drivers or passanger side?" so i ask for a drivers side and the come back with "we dont have any drivers sides, would you like a passanger side?" and im like WTF?? how can i fit a passanger side onto a drivers side, so the guy scuttles off and gets me a drivers side from the stock room that had apparentally fallen down the back or somthing, so i get it, buy it, get home, take my door appart and guess what! they have given me a f**king passangers side handel!!!!

LOL na no problem, Im just pissed off because im now sitting in my front room keeping a beady eye on my golf with no door handle, Im not gonna sleep untill tomorrow morning when i can get it fixed! Im not gonna let anyone steal my baby! lol

Mother F**ker!  This is unbeleavable!

I got it all sorted out, new handle, repaired all the metal and drive round the corner to get some rust repellent, I come out of the shop and guess what i find. Some little twits tryed it again! only this time they managed to shag the entire lock system with it!!

AHHHHHHHHH WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER!?!?!?!!?

if u catch em you gotta be careful though....  i know a guy who caught a couple kids (think they were girls) keying his audi.. for no reason... he didnt hit em or anything, but i think he might have grabbed em n sh!t, and he ended up in a whole loada trouble...

You have just learnt a lesson (that many of us have, myself included) with the bonus of not loosing any of your kit or your whole car.

Rule one of car modifying is fit a good alarm with perimeter protection before you spend any money on anything else - otherwise its all at risk.

You've had a door damaged, and thats cost you a little money and caused you some agro, but take it from someone that lost thousands in stereo gear, you have got off lightly.

Fit the alarm NOW, and don't spend any more money on another area of the car until this is done - its clear they want in your car, so make it tough on them.

I wish I had been given the same opportunity to learn the lesson before all my Alpine stereo gear went walkies.

true that. first thing i did when i got my old car was sitck an alarm in, as I knew there'd be subs, amps+ a headunit etc etc in there.

what are insurance companies like with mk2s and mk3 8vs?

for my valver they wouldnt insure me without a CAT1 alarm on there
