My family has grown in size illyan and will be too small to run the GTi. That and Cost of running round town is quite high on mpg.Im moving house too, so lots of small reasons.

Whats the difference between the 2 Phil? They both "Sport" the station wagaon is bigger... cant be that much diff?

Well being the Boot in the Passat is HUGE ,ideal for family of 4.
(update) so far it looks like i might be having a Steel Grey metalic One, will know in a few days for sure.

We get a family of 5. Luggage for two weeks and other random things in the back of our golf when we go on holiday, Im surprised you need a bigger car. We have a 3 door Pajero and its bigger than the golf (dimension wise, wider higher etc) but we get more in the Golf. Perhaps bigger isnt better?

*Im not trying to talk you out of buying the Passat, just not understanding the reasoning.

pushchairs and prams 08mista, weekly shopping doesnt leave much space when you have 2 kiddies ocupying the rear seats.
