Dealer doesn't love me anymore
« on: 25 October 2007, 09:08 »
Got the car back after putting in for all the rattles - there fine now but i've been told that there will be no charge this time however no more fixes under warranty due to the non standard springs.........mmm sounds like a fine excuse - they must of been chuffed to bits when then thought of that one - saved them from hoovering the car out - the buggers - i like a clean carpet!

I know what you mean Ollieb. The last car I had (GT TDI DSG) had a remap and although they were okay about it, they did say that if it was a major fault that could be linked with the remap then I would have to pay for it out of my own pocket

Springs are different though. I would think that the only things they could get away with not paying for is rattles and suspension faults :undecided:

surely they meant all future claims for interior rattles and suspension work would be refused
Specialist Cars were like that when I had a Koni kit fitted to my Beetle

Paintwork for example, has nothing to do with lowering springs being fitted
Golf Mk8 R order cancelled...awaiting company car instead

sorry i should have used a  symbol. The written word without a symbol can bring out the gullability in some of us .

However for the less educated of us (like the mechanic who i spoke to on the phone who answers with a grunt and then says nothing - honest!) - there's no guessing what weird and wonderful excuse could be made up in the future - call me suspisious but i have experienced worse offences!

Why are dealers so uptight about warranty when they claim the cost from Volkswagen anyway? It's just madess and they are being petty nobs
