Thanks Illyun

I must admit. I watched the whole match (Never watched a rugby match in my life)
And I was rather dissapointed although we did win. The game reminded me of ping pong. Back and forth.
South Africa's defense was great and I must say that England def played hard. They wanted to win. But overall I guess the general feeling was that neither side actually played well.

Oh well. South Africa was crazy on Saturday night though. Was really entertaining driving home with everyone hooting and flashing and flags etc. Hopefully we will have the saem response to the 2010 soccer world cup.

I was not talking about the response the actual game had aka the winning. Im talking about the spirit and how the country seemed united for 3 days before the match and how everything was cool.

Us Winning the Footie World Cup is like calling a Hummer eco friendly.... Its wrong :undecided:

Just seen photos of the President of South Africa holding the World Cup and being carried by the SA Rugby players... can't imagine Gordon Brown doing that... maybe they needed it more than us esp. since I have read also that it has united the country - albeit temporarily - papering over the social and historical faultlines that still exist there.  I don't feel so bad now - I just hope England can do it next time - or maybe the time after?  :undecided:
