VAG COM Ross Tech
« on: 15 October 2007, 22:21 »
Hi guys

I want to download the Ross Tech VAG COM software on my laptop so that I can plug it into the wife's car. Looking at the site you are required to know the name of your interface. Where can I find this info. Should start with:

HEX-

KEY-

Micro-CAN

Any ideas?

Knowing the car would be the best way to determine the type you need

have you bought the very expensive cable then? or did you just get a cheapo usb one off ebay.  also need to knowthe year as there are 2 shapes of vag-com port. the port will either be a 2x2 plug behind one of the dash switch blanks or a 16pin plug behind the plate next to the ashtray.
