Porsche 90's design wheels...
« on: 07 March 2004, 13:17 »
Ive got some Porsche 90's design wheels with H&R adaptors on the way.

The wheels are 2X6J (fronts) and 2X8J (rears)

What does that mean? ???

Does anyone know how i can get that 'stretched' tire look and what profile tires i should use to get that look?

Where i can buy these low profile tires from?

Thanx in advance

Blue

so i take it 195 is the width of the rim?
 ???

what im thinking of doing is to put the 2xJ8's on the fronts, and put the 2xJ6's on the rears.

Then lower the rear quite abit. ;D

might handle like a sack of doo doo though  ???

mine handles a bit loose on 17's, but they look too good to go back to 15s  :'(

I can live with it, just don't try cornering too fast on the roads. ok on track though.

mate, that would look stoopid with the 8's on the front and 6 on the rear! if you wanted the super fat look you should have got all 4 as 8 inch width.

195 is the tyre width in mm.

195/45/16's aren't going to look very stretched on 6 inch rims. 195/40's would look better. 215/35/16's could be good on 8 inch rims.

Style Dynamix are the usual suspects to talk about this kind of thing

front feels like the car is on ice  >:(

I think a camber and tracking setup would be a good idea though.
