I have a J reg golf mk3 1.8-CL hatchback. When I put my foot down on the accelerator a whirring noise comes from somewhere under the bonnet. The problem only happens intermittently although its getting worse and it seems to happen more when accelerating up through the low gears.
Any idea would be gratefully received.
