1980 Mk1 Gti cabby
« on: 27 September 2007, 09:53 »
After getting my cabby from ML17 (a member on here) and comming up with a plan and design of restoration i came up with a list of things to do,some were a must and some were out of choice and want.

The list

No real work has been done to this yet as i have only had it for a week but the plan is too-

    * Sort the gear linkage out
    * replace bonnet,both front wings,both doors and boot
    * knock the small dents out of the rear quarter panels
    * replace the whole interior,hopefully for a mint cream or biege nuber
    * replace GTi arches,lots of cuts and scores in these
    * replace the bumpers for small chrome jobbies]
    * get new chrome pannel trims
    * coilovers or airbags depending on how much mo9ney i have
    * chrome 13x7 and 13x8 wheels or 14"
    * respray in chocolate brown
    * and to finish on some californian number plates

well being bored tonight i came up with a design for my golf Cabby
This is how it started

This is my chop,

All custom brushed,yes it looks a bit toony...but you get the idea.
Chocolate brown matt or satin paint,
Cream interior,
Chrome wheels,bumpers rub stip and window trims
slammed on either coilovers or bags....its a chop it doesnt matter,lol

So this is a quick design i aim to work towards,what do you think?

I love doing the odd photoshop too

If you can get that top pic looking like the bottom pic then that would be pretty damn cool. :cool:

It looks wicked and the brown looks so old school too. :afro: Like it a lot. :grin:
......now officially dubless.

You're thinking of Ronal Turbos, but those on the potato chop are Schmidt TH Lines, split rims in two or three piece.  :nerd: I love those wheels. :cool: Google both and then look at the images.  :smiley:

Edit: It's ok, I've done it for you :smiley:
