my power steering seems 2 fail when it rains ,any ideas , its mk2 16v 3 dr big bumper

yep tighten belt!

see if you can find a splash guard and fit that - keeps the water off the belts!

how odd, I had just the same thing happen yesterday, all ok, pulled up in work car park, big puddle.  Drove through it, lots of steam, went to turn the wheel and it was very heavy and juddery, I assumed the belt was loose and needed tightening and that it doesn't like the puddles.

Splashguard?  Will have to look into that, and avoiding all the puddles.........DAMN!

i think im the only driver who loves driving through big puddles - whenever there is a massive one (lots in glasgow), i plough straight through it, then disappear in a cloud of boiling water - my only fear is that the puddle is a giant hole in the ground and i'll disappear completely (scrubs anyone>  :laugh: )
