R32, 1st drive, 1st impressions

okay, i've detailed my experience of picking up the car saturday in one of the threads below

vw called me this morning to say it was a bit of plastic or something........will get more specifics another time.........

rushed home from work to pick the car up and took it out for about 5 mile drive as i had to get back home to go out elsewhere

1st impressions - even better than i imagined it, the power is blistering. example, a 5 series bmw raced me off the lights, i don't like to get involved but i thought why not!!! gave him a head start and still caught him, superb feeling, what a rush

the car is more powerful than i imagined because i was quite restrained on the test drive but it's awesome

took it out again this evening and the internal dials etc look tip top and the cornering excellent........

i absolutely love it and no i haven't check the mpg and i couldn't give a monkeys

can't post photos as useless at that type of thing

i'll work it out tomorrow

Nice one mate !

Yeah, racing your car before its warmed up is bad, raceing your car before its warmed up AND with a brand new V6 in it is just plain bonkers ! Take it easy, you shouldnt really being going above 3000rpm if its fresh out the factory.

It's nice to see that it isn't just me who ignores the MPG

it's done 9000 and the engine's been well adjusted

i can't speak highly enough of this car to be honest, it's pretty good and better than i imagined or expected from the test drive

slightly annoyed about vw giving it to me in the first place with a slight issue but that's forgotten now

what do you mean - just you? I ignore it, too. And only feed it V-Power.

I noticed you lament a lot, illyun....
