I love my GTI just because im 18 and all my friends drive around in bangers  Not only that but i treat it as if its the world to me, wouldnt change it for a thing (apart from ED30) Im quite curious to drive a CTR thou, unfortunatley all the people around gib who own CTR's are like in their 20's to 30's and think they own the world....did get to have a go at an S2000 which apparantley has the same engine but wasnt to happy with that either...must say it looks f'ing lovely!!

Yeah, a manufacturer that has had 3 cars (jazz, civic and s2000) voted the best cars to own for the last few years. Im happy with that

Manu_gti cheers bud. For some reason people seem to think owning a type r is the best thing in the world! S2000 has a completely different engine mate, old skool vtec with very little power low down but abit more up top.
You are a lucky man mate to have a gti at 18, i had a 1.1 fiesta lol

You can do the same to the ctr. Brembos, lsd and a fast road setup will see of nearly everything on a corner! But yes you could do that to the gti mate!

Yebut - you are still left with that god-damned awful v-tec!

No as it drops it to 4.5k rpm smoothing it out (i.e. no kick just constant power upping bhp and torque throughout the rev range). Giving 180 wheel horsepower (230 at the fly)

This makes it a very capable track car with the ability to beat most things on track (with brembos etc - which the jdm got as standard)

Im going to supercharge in a year or so giving the same bhp/ton ratio as an aston martin vanquish

Most honda people bang out about vtec being the best thing ever. Its good, but nothing special! Does amaze me though when i can keep up with turbo hatches with the same litre engine sometimes
