Another bad-ass kit !!!

Oettinger rear skirt looks great. For the front skirt I'd choose ABT, they have a nice (but really expensive) carbon lip. Anyway, what is best with Oettinger is their switchable remap.
I will be getting the Revo remapping, Had it done to my Audi S3 and it just blew my mind and i got 3 more mpg

No REVO in Switzerland. I go ÖTTINGER. I doubt I get more mpg with 300+ hp, though.

Oh, 'suppose I'd better answer the OP.

The standard GTI front and rear bumpers and skirts WILL paint, but you must ensure proper preparation, and demand the bodyshop uses the correct flexible primer.

I belive you, honest, however i've been to at least 8 body shops with no joy remember i live in Dorset and we have only just got electricity down here.

I like it, in yorkshire we only have electricity between the hours of 5 - 9pm and thats if the hamster isn't tired.

Here you go - my mate had it done to his - $900 it cost him - primed, painted and back on the car. There must be a shortage of decent panel beaters in the UK if you cant find anyone to do it. The bumpers and skirt were also sanded back so it didnt have that texture under the paint.

That looks wicked.

There are plenty of panels shops, its just the poor man lives in a field. $900 is a steal as EVERYTHING cost less in the states.

No no not my car, just one I know from golfmk5.com.

I'm still deciding if I should colour code the bumpers or not.  :undecided: I love the contrast from side on with the white but then look at the back and think it looks a little 'cheap' One day I will mak up my mind  Don't mind the Oettinger kit but it's well expensive! 3,800 Aussie big ones unpainted and unfitted...

I think the MK5 looks 100x better with colour coded bumbers. I couldnt believe VW didnt make the colour coded bumbers for the GTi (like they did with the MK4). Just compare the ED30 to the GTi.

:wink:I managed to get out of my field today and traveled the 35 miles to the bright lights of Bournemouth where i found a body shop to do my spraying, also found a place to tint my windows. Thats the first stage, Revo and rims are the second. I've got one of my kidneys on ebay to pay for it all if anyone is interested
