Newbie..
« on: 05 September 2007, 11:53 »

Thought id introduce myself here as ive just purchased a Mk2 3dr GTI in Oak green that ill be collecting on Saturday. I bought the car at E38 (did anyone see it). I plan to use it as a daily as my pride and joy is a Corrado Storm which came runner up at E38, to say im chuffed is an understatement..

The Golf is verysolid for its age, its got 120k on the clock, only problems are a couple of minor oil leaks, cracked windscreen and the MFA doesnt work..

Anyway pics..

Welcome to the forum!

The Golf looks nice enough.

Got any pics of your Corrado Storm?

Very nice. Love the colour! I was tempted to get a Corrado but can't afford to run one at the moment.

The car was at Harewood, wasnt too happy getting it stuck in the mud when i arrived but it cleaned up ok.. Still enjoyed the show but it was much better the year before when it was infront of the house..

The colour does look lovely in the sunshine, its actually quite a dark green. TBH i had a 16v Rado before this and i dont think its rediculously more expensive to run...

If I got anything it would be a VR6. I don't think the 16V is worth bothering with when the car is quite heavy anyway. I couldn't afford the insurance on a VR6 due to my current age. The 16V simply doesn't look any fun. I've had a Scirocco GTX and now this Golf GTi so if anything the next car needs to be more powerful = more fun.

Have a good time on the forum anyway.
