TBH I was OK with two weeks... I just wasn't OK with being told it would only take 1 week and then not being called!! I only found out it was going to take longer because I phoned them up on the day I was meant to collect the car!
It amazes me that the automotive service industry still lags behind basic levels of customer service... my only exception to this is when I had the Skoda Fabia vRS... had 4 services in two years and one warranty issue... all work was done well, service levels and communication was superb... all in all and excellent experience!!
thats what gets me, the time it takes to get parts. I had beamers before my Ed30 and never had to wait for a part - always in stock and fixed same day! Including steering racks!! I had 2 wait 3 weeks for a new air con unit for the golf

New engine fitted when car was at 27k... last one went "noisey".
