webber replacement
« on: 25 August 2007, 09:02 »
hope someone can help, ive just replaced my piersburg with a used webber on my 1600 mk1 cabby, now although it would idle at highe revs and cut out etc before, it ran ok, i only had basic instructions on fitting the webber because it was used so i might have missed something, but when i tried to start it it fires and then immediatly dies. can someone help, ive made a few assumptions on the pipework, ive put the vac pipe from the check valve to the lower connection at the back of the webber, i shorted the water hose connection with a new piece of pipe and just left the origonal electrical connections tied up out of the way, please help the suns shining and i want to use it!
