Cheers Admin guy..

Right guys and girlies i owned a mk2 Golf 1.6 Driver a year or so ago had every problem you can imgaine and fixed 95% of it, worst thing i did was sell it.. so now i have the money to run 2 cars i thought time for another..Much searching for the cheapest ok condition 3 door i could find i win this on Ebay:

1990 H Reg 8v GTi
Big bumpers
G60 Arches
Fog Lamps
C/Locking
PAS
16" Team Dynamic alloys
What appears to be cheap lowering kit 40mm possibly.
Jetex S/S middle to Rear section

Im going for the clean original look, the interior is really excellent condition so i dont need to mess with that, some BBS alloys and some FK coilovers for look im after and generally clean the engine bay up as you can see the engine wiring has been chopped stuck together with red electrical tape, connectors are broken so im sorting that out, It needs a PAS steering rack as its leaking really bad on my moms drive  , the H/brake is really poor but ive just orderd some mk4 Callipers for the rear, the in time a 4 branch manifold matched to a complete Exhaust S/S possibly miltek.

Will update as jobs are done :)

Well little to report at the moment.. i currently have a 325i bmw im moving to fund the G60 lump so need to get that shifted then let it begin!

Have done a few minor things ..
German pressed metal REG plates
removed the wiper arms and sprayed black as they was a little rusty and paint was flaking
Had to replace the N/S/R 16v light as someone tapped it to try and make my side light burst into life, all they did was crack the lense
purchased a steering rack as if you read above its shagged and leaking oil everywhere, i got it on ebay with all pipes, resoviour, pump, pulleys, even the belts . so im likely to have a PAS Pump and Crank Pulley for sale shortly. i have decided to fit the rack when i swop engine, im guessing it might make it easier!? so shortly before ill take it for proffesional recon.

Pics taken earlier today showing off the new reg plates.

Rack ..

forgot to add, when i took the rear reg plate off, i discoverd the tail gate is worse than it looks. the retainers for the number plate screws have fallen out because of the rust hole, and the grab strip one of the retainers for the screws has done the same, so im hoping it doesnt completly fall apart during the winter, then either find another ok one, or remove mine get it done, and smooth the wiper out .

right ho. this has turned into the mk2 G60 thread after i took the plunge late last year and bought a G60 engine/box/loom.
As far as im aware the charger is a stage 4, has a smaller pulley and a chip in the ECU all thanks to jabbasport. Today i finally decided to do something and removed a few things so i can clean them up ect:
Charger
Charger brackets
Alternator
Rocker Cover
Inlet manifold

So the plan, ( sell the bmw ! ) clean all the engine and its part probably going matt black with a clean charger and rocker cover. replace gaskets, timing belt bolts ect.
Samco cooling hoses
Samco boost hoses
a Rallye outlet
FMIC
Top fill Rad
Get an exhaust that isnt going to melt my car
If i can get some 16v hubs then ill also try and get 280mm brakes on the front, and then im thinking ronal turbos.

Latest, fitted the G60 front brakes, well waiting for the pads, but changed the hubs discs ect. Also got the Rad recon'd as it was looking a little tired, took this oportunitly to change the top rad outlet pipe and gasket, which are still available from VW.
Also 1.3 speedo cable now fitted.
