I thought pressed plates were legal on cars made before a certain date, probably mid 70's.

You can have black and silver plates on cars pre 73/74 (something like that) as that's what I've got on my camper and they're legal.
......now officially dubless.

i got stopped on tuesday for mine (white on front, yellow on back..) he said he was going to fine me but i said i didnt know and had bought the car like that, so he just gave me a ticket i have to get signed by an MOT station once i have normal plates on and then send that off to avoid court proceedings...

anyhoo, on normal oned you can get them with the blue EU thingy at the side with GB or D etc unde the EU badge.. Are the german versions legal in UK? guessing not...

Was going to get myself some, i love the way they look but i wont bother now.

Ill get some fancy'ish plates made up in leage UK font on perspex and hope they are ok with the boys in blue!!!!

Even to get the MOT station to check costs money i believe so you loose either way.

im surprised that nobody has told him to buy them off of eBay, they are loads cheaper than dubmeister and are amazing quality, they look the bee's knee's and havent had any trouble with them, did once get pulled up but the copper didnt say anything bout the plates :) was a traffic cop and seems the computer had no problem reading my plate :)
