MK3 Golf Mirror Glass?

well i got my new mk3 gti yesterday and it has a cracked mirror glass on the drivers side, its has electric mirrors. i went into VW today to get a replacement thinking it would be a tenner only to be told it was £40 + vat 

does anyone know where i can get a cheaper replacement glass or do i have to pay ridiculous VW prices?

As i said ebay (find someone who is breaking a golf and request a price for mirror glass or even complete mirror if the colour is right) or VW breakers.

thanks for the reply, i checked ebay but theres no glass on there for sale. looks like it will have to be a complete wing mirror then.

I got mine from GSF. Electric heated mirrors with anti dazzle.
