There is always a new car around the corner. A new one in 6 months. 12 months. As they say you pays your money and takes your choice.
I'm sure that I will like the MkVI when it gets here. But, from looking at the photos I prefer my MkV. Mind you I would say that.
Bye Bye Edition 30

I doubt that the GTI version will come out at the same time as the rest of the range. VW deliberately made us all wait for the MKV version and will probably do the same with the MKVI. I agree that it will probably have the ED30 engine and maybe by then an uprated version of the 7speed DSG. What it will be is a "cheaper to make" car, whether it will affect quality is open to debate :undecided:

They are introducing MKVI earlier than expected because MKV turned out to be expensive to build (each car takes something like 50 hours). If they discontinue MKV GTI and do not introduce the new GTI  - all the better for us. I am inclined to believe that they will introduce new GTI sooner then normal, though.

The question that bothers me much more, though, is WHEN they stop producing Edition 30s. I just want to continue saying that it is a limited edition, that's all.  :embarassed:
