Oil recommendations for the GTI ( DSG ) ?

From the last comment if you have a DSG GTi on Time and Interval servicing then you need the 502.00 lubricant.
I'm not sure but I don't think that this is mentioned in the manual (which sadly I have read from cover to cover and still do look at).
I will happily bow down to your undoubted knowledge and experience.

You are sort of correct.  For the T&D servicing, the minimum requirement is 502.00.  You can still use the higher spec 504.00 on T&D, and indeed, this is very strongly recommended, particularly as VW/Audi have recently revised their "criteria" for LongLife servicing!
