Car park present

I always park at the far end of the supermarket carpark even if it's raining to ensure my chariot doesn't get hit.

Funny.

I took my parents out today, we visited all the exciting places, B&Q, garden centre etc.   My dad, who walks with a stick, asked why we always had to park so far from the door when there were loads more spaces up front.

You can't even explain that can you.  I told him it was so he could open the door wider.

Join the club! Some W****r hit my ED30 while it was parked up at a golf club on saturday night.  Crumpled the wheel arch on the near side, FUMING! (obviously they left no details). 
Oh and it scuffed the alloy!!

Thats the same damage I had. I got quoted £200 (£175 cash).

just taken it to a local bodyshop, they say it needs a new wing, £370 all in. (there goes my milltek fund!)

I'll find my camera out tonight if I get chance. Got two quotes, both roughly the same, both said new wing.  It doesn't look that bad, but its creased the metal from the bottom 'lip', right up to the bonnet, they say it won't push out, not really an expert on body work, but naturally I want it looking like new!

Well, I always try and park in a space with no space to the left hand side if you catch my drift with usually the end of spaces marked with a curb or wall or something. Always means parking the further most away which annoys my girlfriend. My theory is that people always drive in to a space rather than reverse and 8 times out of 10 they are on their own. so they will open to their door on to the car next to them and not mine! I have found this works quite well. Its dents on the door that do my nut too   

Im so carefully though - Ive had 5 brand new cars and never had so much as a car park ding ever! Im not afraid to say it, but when I saw that on my GTI, i could have cried!

I can relate to that! I was gutted I always take care when parking like you say, but unfortunately on Saturday my options were limited.
