How are these connected to the car btw?

not sure where on the MKV your diagnositc port is but i assume its in the area around the ashtry (can someone confirm this for me please).  then it connects via your USB port and away you go 

On the Mk5 (and all the lastest VAG cars) it is now located on the underside of the dash panel, above the accelerator pedal.
