I bought these BB RS 001's last October:

I was going to re-paint the centres white again, then wasn't sure, then before I fitted them, I decided to go for some different wheels! But by April as the new wheels were going to take longer to do and I had sold my RM's, what with the shows starting I decided to fit the 001's and put on hold selling them until my new wheels were done. I sold the Nankang tyres as they were a bit too stretched for my liking and I fitted the 205/45x15 Toyo Proxes tyres that I had over from when I sold my RM's.

Well, on the bank holiday at the end of May, I went to the Asda's near me and after doing my shopping, I was sitting at the traffic lights to go out onto the dual carriageway. Got bored waiting like you do, and when I looked up, they had just changed to green. Drove off at usual speed as not in a hurry and just as I was going round onto the carriageway and just straightening up, next thing I next this other car just came from nowhere on the right and crashed into the side of me!   Didn't see it coming or anything!  Turned out they ran a red light and luckily I had witnesses! Not amused and had also had it booked in for the show & shine at Stonor park in a few days! Anyway, here's the pics:

Hi there,

I'm the chap with the white MK2 at G2B, gutted to see your latest post, so sorry to see the damage. Is it just the panels that were hit, no sill damage???

Bet the people that hit you didn't have a clue of the work that's gone into your car, compared to the dullard box they were in, your wheels are worth more than that rice box

Hope you can get it back together soon.

ATB

Jeremy.

Hi! Well those pics were back at the end of May,  so it's still how you saw it on the No-rice run, but this is how it was before! I've been playing catch-up with my posts from the beginning! Don't want to do non-stop posts, then nothing! Takes a while to sort, edit and upload all the photos too!

Enjoyed reading what you've been doing to yours-some the same kinda things I've been doing to mine! Don't think I'd fancy refurbing spoked alloys myself though! Getting my 2nd set of RA's refurbed to sell at the moment. Would love to keep them, but need the cash. I did have a set of RA's, but they are stuck in a unit rent dispute! The person who was renting the unit refused to pay the rent as he wasn't able to use it for it was meant to have been used so the owner of the unit seized everything he had in the unit including my RA's!

Phew, glad to hear they were old images. Re-furbing the RA's is certainly time consuming, it's taken about 4 hours to sand down each wheel so far making sure i get into every tiny area on each spoke.

Still havn't decided whether to paint the lip silver and the centres anthracite or just stick to OEM silver for the whole wheel.

After quite a bit of cleaning up on the inside, a week later London Volksfest was the first show I went to after the accident 2 months previously:
