On the mk3 it's actually harder to find a 3 door GTI than it is a 5 door. Same for mk4s, you see more 5 doors than 3 doors and it looks like the same will happen with the mk5.

That's odd - when I was looking for ine I saw nothing but 3 doors - but then again maybe I just ignored 5 doors with out registering them...or it could just be because I'm in Saafend!

there are definately (or so it seems) more 5 door mark 3 and 4's about. I was looking on the internet for mark 4's and out of about 100 there was probably 8-10 3 doors

I had no trouble finding one. plus Billy has had no trouble finding them since. So I think there are more 5's than 3's!

Ahh ok - it was the bad use of brackets and the lack of commar that confused you - I thought you'd mis-read the 1st golf as Gti. My bad!

And yeah the 5's vs 3's thing - i probably was just looking for a 3 door, so negating the 5 doors and simply forgetting they ever existed! ha ja
