Look at Dizzie's Mk2, he's put a Mk3 dash in. First in his old blue Mk2 (with 1.8T engine) then moved the whole lot over to an Edition One shell. Check out the projects section for photos.
The later Mk4 polo dash could be an alternative, out of a 6n1/facelift model (around 99/00).
