hey richy, mine is the same model as yours, got the wheels with brand new pirrelies from a dogey guy on the docks, and got me springs from europarts and fitted em me self, was a bit of a twot todo but as i run 2 cars, and have a mrs and 3 kids i cant afford to spend shed loads!!!!! roll on them lotto numbers!! then supercharged/nitrous R32 here we come!! i wish

I've got my eye on some 17x8" BBS alloys which are unfortunately about ?900 with tyres, and some eibach springs.  This will cost me over a grand, even before I get someone to fit the springs!! ( I would fit them myself but I don't have the right equipment and I'd probably f**k it up even if I did! )  

I'm holding out for a bargain on ebay.    I too have a mrs, who'd prefer to spend the money on a new bathroom!

Hmm, probably about ?150, at the most!! But thats because all i've done is like, a new 4 headlamp grille, two services (?25 each) a new roof rubber (?25) and other stuff like centre console, about ?10. I have got bits free, like boot light etc... I have a staandard golf, so had nothing like that, so i had to get lots of bits from scrap cars.... Also, the car was free, so that saved a bit of money!!
