i allways think that you pay a bit more to go to a dealer but if you want your car looked after by people who know whot there doing its worth it.

After your first post in this thread I'm hoping you're being sarcastic here because from your recent experience there's absolutely no evidence of this and it's totally to the contrary. :huh:

some are okay.. my local parts dept. are very good (no comment on the service dept. though)... problem is vw  'technicians' are rarely vw enthusiasts... if you find one that is you're on a winner.

Aye, parts guys are sound at my VW stealers too, but I can't comment on the technicians as my VWs have all been old so no warranty to keep up with etc so I've always just gone to a "normal" garage.
