What?s rubbing me the wrong way is that we know our cars aren?t as fast as GTIs etc, But most of us just cant afford them, The 2 CL drivers (one including me) are students, I earn less that 5K a year, If I went out and got a 16V It would cost me 2K for the car and 3K for insurance, Leaving me with nothing to work on the car or to at least run the car!, Its just not possible. But I think out casting people from areas of the forums is extremely unfair. Its not my fault I choose to be in education, Its not my fault I have to work from 6pm-11pm stacking shelves at a super market on top of my college / uni work Just so I can afford to work on my car. Every penny I earn goes on my car, Whether it?s the vast expanse or repair work I have to put it thought, The ?900 insurance I pay every year, Petrol costs, the TAX and MOT and once in a while the small amount of money I have left to buy mods its always going on my car or paying back some sorta debt to my mom because of my car.
I put a lot of hard work into my car, and to be told its not good enough to be around other VW golfs because its not a GTI is, well, Its not very pleasant to put it in a nice way
