i do recall sumbody telling me just the tracking was about 30 quid at qwik fit but i could be wrong. they def do tracking but i would personly take it to a grage that specialises in vw's maybe even a main deeler  :rolleyes:

i'd never go back to quackfit and the likes, it comes down to luck which mechanic you get doing it.

the mk3 golf is adjustable on both sides for track and camber, the mechanic who did my old car couldn't loosen locking nut on n/s so just did o/s track rod, ended up ripping the gaitor and I only had 1.5 turns lock one way and about 3.5 turns the other... didn't even bother going back to them and did it myself, borrowed some dunlop gauges and camber measurement.

i've yet to find someone local who I can trust...

I didnt have a problem getting some one to do the tracking even though it has been lowered it was just the camber that no one would touch i rang about 7 differant places they all said that id have to go to vw to get it done but because it was lowered they probably wouldnt touch it... :cry:

Dont know anyone in the Notts area Bulk but Chorton VW Audi will do it in Manchester, is there anyone closer to you than that ?

As far as kwik fit, I would rather try doing it myself and I no sweet FA about it.

There must be some independant tyre place that has the right equipment in your area.

Yeah Len your right, I would have thought somewhere like Notts would definately have plenty of garages around. Derby, Leicester isnt to far away and even Brum is an easy drive.

Ive just been told there is some were that dose imprezas tracking/camber adjustments and they might be able to do it but i cant find the place..... :embarassed:

I was looking on google for you Bulk, saw people saying they had taken golf GTI to a place in Notts even BUT the silly bugger didnt say where !
