Rich is correct, side repeaters must be fitted on vehicles used on or after April fools day 1986. Wonder why the dot picked that day ::).

Would that still apply if you have say an imported golf like a rallye?

I know on imported cars that have been uk registered you have to have a foglight on the offside and have the correct beam pattern on your lights to get an MOT.

Its just I've seen a few rallyes and they don't have them.

Be the first mk2 with repeaters on the wing mirrors....will look cool

looks like when designing the mk2, the Germanz, look like they forgot about repeaters, realised this then just stuck some big phat square plastic thing on the wing. Would have been nice if there was a little recess and the repeater sat within it so it looked like thought went into it instead of just looking like an add on.   >:(

DTM cup mirrors come with built in repeaters.

Not too keen on the M3 ones thou :-\
