Resprays (again!)
« on: 02 February 2004, 11:15 »
I need a good spray shop that can sort out the rust on my new baby. I'm looking for a full respray in her origonal colour - black.

Does anyone know of anyone who wud do a good and resonable priced job? Distance isn't an issue neither is the amount of time taken to do it so long as its done well.

Cheers  : :-*

Golfgal - the guy that came to the Newark meet with me (Steve) is a legend with a spray gun.

If you want a price he'll need to see the car (as price will be dependant on the amount of prep required) but I can gaurantee you two things:

A cracking price
and an even better job.

His oak green valver looks stunning.

Yeah, thats no problem, he has his own unit with a spray booth (and all the necessary kit) for his private stuff, so it will be locked up in there till its finished :D

I'll drop him a line now and ask him.

What sort of condition are we talking? How much rsut and where? Many dents? Any panels need changing?

Standard VW colour, no colour change right?

This will be for a full on, glass out, trim off job, so it will be a pukka finish

Rust all round sunroof (nasty aswell) Few bits here and there.  Not too bad condition just needs tidying and respraying..

One of the doors has lots of chips where paint has come off. No panels need changing. Yup origonal black colour.  :-*
