For all you MK 1 and 2 owners I'd suggest getting a classic policy (cars over ten years).  You may have to limit your millege but you'll definately get a good price.  Try Footman James or Adrian Flux.

Id never even heard of them before but Quotelinedirect search around 500 policys for you.

They got my quote down by ?200 even though id had a claim.

Vixter - what are your details for insurance? I assume thats on a cab? That is really cheap, mine is ?250 FC protected No Claims. in the cheapest insurance area

Also give Liverpool Victoria a try. They will do upto 10 mods free of charge, providing you do not increase cc. You should phone rather than get their online quote for the best rates.

sorry adam, i didnt mean my quote was ?200 ( i wish) just that they got it down by ?200.

Your quote beats my golf cab insurance by a million miles

TRY Adrain Flux they have a web page and are supposed to be the cheapest for performance cars. I'm with tesco and pay 900 they said they'd do it for 600 but i'll have to wait until june before i can change over.

Admiral are pretty good, judging by what everyone else has said.  Got a Mk4 1.8 GTI, and pay about ?600.  

I'm 23 with 2 yrs no claims, and I keep it in a garage in an alright area nr Watford.  ;D
54-plate Golf 2.0 FSI GT.  Leather interior.
