I bought my 1.4e Golf back in 2004 and after two gearboxes broke on me, I deceided I was sick of paying out for a 1.4 and deceieded to do the conversion, here are some pics of my car before we tore it apart

Since then I have seen the light and put Gti rear light clusters on it, just collected my badgeless grille from the sprayshop for when the conversion is done.
We then proceeded to take out my paperweight 1.4 engine, here are the pics:
Then we called it a day!
Last Saturday we picked up the new engine, but the person who was coming to replace the 16v loom with the 20v couldnt make it, so will be putting it in next weekend with a bit of luck, pics of new bits anyways:

BUT after closer inspection it turns out the two gearboxes I colleected are completely wrong (but are for sale now)

My ECU looks farked that I got , looks like it has been toasted on a camp fire :?
Have got somebody taking my old engine, but if anybody on here gets it first the up to thats fine and has quoted me on the remaining bits I need.
