Which do i get? 8v or 16 v????

Hi just joined up!  :grin:
Looking for a Mk3 gti 3dr but dont know wehter to go for 8v or 16 v, i hear the 8 valve is a but stronger and the 16 v expensive to run/repair?? anybody give me some help on choosing my next chariot?? or maybe a big bumper mk2?? not really sure!

Yeah mk2 16v   the good ol KR goes hard  :evil: k-jet can be a pain sometimes tho

Or a mk3 16v   nice refined daily aka tubby GTI  :grin:

Cheers guys, ive been told the 8 v pulls a bit better with better torque? and the 16v is a bit of a screamer - nothing till 4k then F O ?
fancy a mk3 as i need a daily driver, vr6 will be too juicy.

Whats the power differences on a 1.8 2.0 8v /16v??
