But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Looking at the sigs & posted pics there's definitely a connection between age and taste in Golfs.
A lot of us 'older' owners seem to prefer the simple/standard look.

Well my car is standard, and I'm not old at 32! (and my missus is also only 26 :smug:, so that should count for something!!)
