Oops, typed the wrong number. Meant to type 42 but typed the offset for the gold instead  :embarassed:

Yeah it is within that range but to keep the cars geometry the same you should fit the exact same offset wheels.

The offset is the distance in mm that the wheel face protrudes beyond the hub face and sets the centreline of force through the middle of the wheelbearing. Using too large an offset for instance increases understeer, eats wheelbearings and makes the tyres rub on the outer arch edges.

Too small an offset and the cornering gets too sharp and twitchy...not a wide range there tho admitedly  :cool:

rover 75/ MG ZT alloys are the same pcd and have an offset of 35.  The 17" hairpins of the ZT would look pretty nice on a gti.
