Well heres my £122 Project Golf Driver 

heres the bad side as it came out of the garage after 18 months



and the good side after 4 hours graft with the old spit n polish and spray can on the wheels



Just the other side to go, then the dreaded MOT, then its goodies time

My Baby...... After spending  £200 quid on a car from fleebay! then spending £300 on it to get it on the road! (All new suspension setup with some Milltek coilovers -60mm Can get a fly under it just about! Full service, Two new tyres, Tracking done  )
Still a few bits to do, Seats, Stereo,New Tints as factory tints are peeling!  Rad Fan! (Does not switch on)OK while it's cold!

Just thought i'd add a couple of pics of my rare mk2! Its a 1991 J reg 1.6 SB GTD in Montana Green - been confirmed by VAG that there were only 55 made in this colour!

Mods done so far:-
G60 interior
electric front and rear windows
vortex centre console, arm rest
3 gauge din blank in dash
Bilstein gas shocks - Eibach go-low 50mm springs
G60 steels with toyo T1r's
239mm vented discs
As for the engine its had the fuel pump modified (tuning pin, fuel screw, governor mod) and a boost controller.

Still to do:-
Decide what to do style wise! Its got big bumpers but pre-90 spec body kit!
Need some new wheels - probably 8x15's to fill the arches!
exhaust system
A few small spots of blistering coming through the paint work needs attention so full bodyshop work early next year!
