Yeh, warranty no mater how long left should be fully transferable to the next owner.  You should pop into your local dealer and ask if there are any out standing recalls on the vehicle.  In checking they should automatically then log ur details with VW UK or alternatively just call VW UK customer service and inform them you are the new owner.  In my experience dealers dont even ask if you are the original purchaser if you book in for warranty work anyhow.

Ok guys I could do with some advice....

Spoke to allbrandsnew today and they told me the car wouldnt be ready tomorrow as there are problems with the tyre valves!! Now i use a specialist tyre repair man at work regularly (farmer) and know from watching him that replacing tyre valves is a case of removing the tyre, slicing the old one off, pushing a new one in refitting and reinflating.

The saleman also claimed that he cant give me a new date as he doesnt know how long it will take to sort it out under waranty (ATS?!)

So im fairly certain he's bullsh*tting me and either hasnt got the car in yet or has had some other problem.

He also refused to throw in the gardex (like lifeshine) free as he said his margins were too tight.

So the question is what to do? It was 3 weeks late tomorrow already and now its taking even longer, I dont want to cancel as I want the car and would lose the deposit, but I think they ought to throw something in free?
